Who is the threat: themselves, fear or a real physical threat?

It starts with the adults in a frontier colony being wiped out. Then what happens?

When I think of Children, I don't think teenagers. Have they been trained to survive on their own or do they have to figure it out? Does their dream of freedom from parental authority turn into a nightmare against an opponent? Themselves? The latter, I'm thinking Lord of the flies in space.

As per above, Red Quasar needs to be explained. Also, the way it's worded it doesn't make sense as to why the children survived the human colony being destroyed. Does this mean they're not human? I sense whatever caused the destruction of the human race is also causing nightmares to become reality. I agree there needs to be a central character identified to tie the story down. Given the many possibilities of individual nightmares, perhaps centring on one troubled youth would make things cleaner.

after reading the logline a few times, I am starting to think that this might be a horror script where nightmares become physical reality. How about this for a logline:

You should start your logline with the lead character. Who is the lead character? What does that character want?

And what is the dream that has become their worst nightmare?

What's their objective goal? And who in the group of survivors stands out as the main character?

You might want to explain what a redshift quasar is supposed to be.
