Hmm..

Thus far, it's about a journalist, sick of interviewing plastic celebrities - he wants to interview someone of substance.

Upon discovering this reclusive movie star - he becomes infatuated, obsesses and plans to write a book.

After a lot of persistence, he manages to get an interview with this woman. However, she parries/stonewalls and (as a great actress) feeds him fiction. His main goal is to get to the truth of her past and why she disappeared.

In order to do so, he becomes what he hates - he seduces, charms, persuades, uses every trick in the book. He too, lies. Not only that, it becomes clear he has a hidden agenda: to write a book. And she has an agenda too: to feed him nothing but bullshit.

Anyways, as the night goes on, they slowly (both) begin revealing the truth and he gets what he wants (but the price is: he's exploiting this woman's pain. By why? - Money? His integrity as a journalist?)

All throughout, they both steadily fall in love with each other - as they realize how alike they are. Very similar trust issues.

Anyways - that's what I've got.

A nice premise but it lacks enough conflict to make it more compelling. What truth is compelling? Is that the reason she is reclusive? In what way is she unwilling?

To me, it feels like this is just the inciting incident. What does the journalist do about it? How do they extract the truth? Think visually.

When a reclusive celebrity he's infatuated with agrees to let him write her life story, a XXX journalist must (and then tell us what he must do).
