A socially deprived, true crime obsessed man becomes infatuated with a Jane Doe case, and documents his pathetic attempt at inserting himself in her story by solving the case.

Doe: A man sees a recent Jane Doe case on a news broadcast. Inspired by his favorite true crime and socially deprived lifestyle he films himself “researching” and “investigating” the case in classic the crime fashion. His methods range from using actual findings from the police and wrongful, pathetic interrogations. We discover his true paradoxical desires at solving this case, rather than a try care for the victim. And when the time comes to actually do some good, he can’t, as giving the victim and her family any sort of closure isn’t really what he wants…

Great main character in that he has both a flaw and an obsessive drive.
The major event (inciting incident) is clear and exciting.
I'd love to see a little more specifics about the way he 'inserts himself in her story' as this is going to be the action that keeps us going through the 2nd act of the film.

All in all it's intriguing, and a good logline, written in a way that allows us to see the structure of the film before our eyes.

Personally, I don't mind longer loglines, so if it takes a few more words to expand on that extra detail, I'd love to see it.
