When the world?s #1 hacker contracts a digital virus created by the omnipresent MegaCorps, he must rise up and bring down the system he has been leeching off for so long.
I agree with Kriss and should say a "fatal digital virus" which should address Nicholas' stakes question. As to irony, as a hacker he has leeched off the system. Using his skills to bring the system down is the irony.

Hacker Dax lives free and profits from the system that controls most of society… until one of the MegaCorps design a digital virus that kills hackers who infiltrate their system. Dax is forced to lead a revolution to return control of knowledge back to the people, or die for leeching off them for so long.

Thanks Andrew. I agree there is too much going on here but it is a very plot-driven film. The hacker's flaw is that he profits from a system that controls people. His outer conflict is that he is dying from…

The world's best hacker profits from the system that controls most of society? until Chango MegaCorp and their team of Litigators design a digital virus that can kill hackers. The hacker must either tear down the system he has leeched…

A spoiled teen is sent to live with her Grandfather who is the storyteller for his tribe; will she have the worst summer of her life or will she relent and learn about her heritage.
Wow Geno, you keep getting in before me. I imagine the stakes must be bigger than just her. So much of the future of tribes rests on the current generation learning about their heritage. If the grandfather must teach her…

An inexperienced lawyer must defend his family and his client from an egotistical journalist's stories that have convinced the World that this client hides a deadly identity, an identity the people are determined to erase.
?A young defence lawyer?s family are put at risk after a persistent journalist convinces a Jewish community that his client is a deadly dictator presumed to be dead.? SO MUCH BETTER!!! HOOK IS THERE AND IT IS TIGHT!!!

Sharkeatingman: incredible feedback. Could not have put it better myself. And I reiterate another comment: A DIRT OF HELL is a really really awkward title.

A young immigrant finds himself lost in Mexico City where he meets a charismatic street vendor who introduces him to selling pirate music in the city underground
I agree with Kriss. You have a unique world here, but no conflict or stakes whatsoever. This is more of a premise or hook rather than a logline. What is the fuel that will drive the story?
