Why do they need to find him? ?The inheritance consists of stolen money; the sisters are outlaws -- why would they bother with the niceties of the law? ? Aren't they crooked enough to abscond with the inheritance themselves?

And why should the audience want to root for outlaws to get the inheritance since it's ill-gotten gain?

Maybe if this were a comedy about the absurd actions of flawed characters. ?But as a drama? ?I dunno.
