What does your character really want? What does he need to do to get it? What happens he fails?
I've been thinking about this for awhile and maybe a revolution isn't the best result to serve the character, Revolutions are World encompassing. I don't know how I'm going to execute this properly and keep it the personal story I am aiming for. The protagonist is caught up in his unfulfilling Corporate world, his only comfort are his close friends who are wanted for a terrorist act. His job requires him to hunt down the only thing he cares about, so he chooses to rebel against the Company and save his friends; whether he succeeds or not is irrelevant; this would serve the Character better. I'm thinking of all possibilities right now. Revolutions seem cliche this day and age with movies like the hunger games and Divergent. Thank you for your reply:)
In support of dpg - the "event" that happens to her is that her sister, who is too young to compete, is selected. The "action" Katniss takes is sacrificing herself to save her sister. It's the call to action, totally skipping the refusal of the call, and going straight to Katniss committing to the adventure.
I agree that your inciting incident is being caught up in the terrorist plot, in so far as the story you've described above. What does he have to do to start this revolution?
