When a spoiled, young women, used to luxury and wealth, falls in love with a blind homeless man, she must choose between marrying her millionaire boyfriend and her pathetic lover.
God’s eyes
Where screenwriters learn the form and logline their screen ideas.
God’s eyes
Me too! (duh..) :D
Don't worry, I'm almost there!
i would like to see this as a movie
This should be proofreaded by an english speaking native.
My pleasure
There are no many movies about blindness:
http://www.listal.com/list/blindness
I don't think "Peeping Tom" is about blindness.
"Wait Until Dark "(++++) is an Hitchcockian style thriller. The story is a "huis-clos" close to "Panic Room", ...but without the room and where the hero is blind and alone!
And also :
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0109297/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077716/
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059573/ (++++)

"Scent of a woman" is the US remake of "Profumo di donna" by Dino Risi (1974 ++++)
Jean-Marie, this is great, exactly what I was looking for, thank you! :D
Sorry:
On the cusp of marrying her rich and cold fianc?, a spoilt young brat falls in love with a poor blind street musician and must decide on where is the greatest wealth she can find: outside or inside man.
On the cusp to marry her rich and cold fianc?, a spoilt young brat falls in love with a poor blind street musician and must decide on where is the greatest wealth she can find: outside or inside man.
@ dpg: indeed, "The Soloist" is biography/drama.
What about this logline?
"When a spoilt, young brat falls in love with a poor blind street musician, she must choose between enjoying a luxurious life by marrying her wealthy but cold fianc? and her tender lover who's poor on the outside, but rich on the inside."
Homeless street musician was done as recently as the 2009 American film, "The Soloist", but it wasn't a romance. Can't recall a blind street musician romance.
@Jean-Marie: Thanks a lot for your support! I think so too! Vampires, werewoves, drugdealers, FBI,... That's been done 1000 times and people still love it... :)
And as you can see, vampires, werewolves, psychotic cops and hitmen are not exhausted subjects...
Hi Adele93
Don't worry. there is less movies about blind street musicians than about vampires, werewolves, psychotic cops and hitmen...
Close to your topic, the most recent I remenber is "Les amants du Pont Neuf" (++++) by Leos Carax ("The lovers of the bridge" 1991) with Juliette Binoche
I seem to recall that there are two or three black and white movies prior to 1960. I don't remember which.
What do you mean with 'that's been done'? Is there already a film that involve a street musician? :)
"Blind Street Musician". That's been done.
It is, he has inner beauty, that's more important than money..
>>> "why would a spoiled young woman fall in love with a blind homeless man?"
Hi flixhollow,
Maybe the response is: because he has a "something extra".
e.g. "Titanic" or "Les amants du Pont Neuf" by Leos Carax (1991)
yeah this site is for loglines, not alternative treatments. also, TL:DR
Euhmmmm, Valetin, I think you've posted on the wrong logline again :) This was meant for Richiev I guess :)
For those who did not read my Post on Richiev's logline, my suggestion on his story was as follows:
A powerful rajah has a spoilt daughter who keeps rejecting every suitors for not being good enough. Knowing that he will die soon and afraid she will be taken advantage, the rich widower wants his daughter happily married before his death. He also wants her son-in-law to be good and take care of the poor rather than an entitled member of the elite cast. He organises a race (a la wacky race) in which participants have to go to the end of the world (or forest, whatever very dangerous and far place) and brings him back the most precious treasure. Whoever wins will marry his daughter. Everybody can try their luck as long as they come back with the prize that everybody assume to be a very big diamond.
The rebellious daughter decides to go on the quest to claim the prize herself and be free of getting married. She does not believe in love which is why her father is so upset. During that quest, she met a poor Indian boy who also wants the prize. Despite her disguise he recognises her but say nothing. In fact he even help her against pirates, teaching her respect, compassion and courage along the way. They fall in love, but refuse to say anything to each other. Later the Indian boy has to choose between getting the diamond and saving her life. He chooses her, while an opportunist concurrent swoops the stone.
At the end, the daughter arrives home and tell her father that she is in love with somebody. However the quest has taught her respect and love and as such she has decided to honour her father wishes by marrying the winner of the race. On the wedding day, the winner is revealed to be the Indian boy. The father?s most precious treasure is his daughter?s love. By the way, the rajah is not dying, it was all a ploy.
Hey Valentin, I see it now, hihih, can happen :)
I thought about changing the man in a blind street musician..
I have just realised that my post on Richiev logline has been subconsciously affected by your logline.

I have mixed your story with his.
Thanks for your reaction! You're right, I'll remove the word 'pathetic'
@flixhollow: because love is blind... :)
The protagonist, the young, spoiled woman, will understand there is something more than money and luxury.
why would a spoiled young woman fall in love with a blind homeless man?
