Very Interesting idea but I agree with JVGray about the idea of Santa firing a bunny. UNLESS, this is a rated "R" flick where the bunny is foul-mouthed and thinks he is better than everyone. He then sets out to establish he is own holiday only to realize it's not as easy as it looks. Even then you are borderline "TED" territory.

I like the idea of the bunny wanting his own holiday, but if this is for kids you might reconsider the portrayal of Santa as a person who would fire an insecure, presumably cute and relatable bunny. I'd look deeper into ideas about the bunny's motivation and reasoning for creating his own holiday.
