When a local library begins shredding it’s books due to the popularity of e-readers, a limited edition copy of Macbeth must lead his Shakespearean archive to safety at the National Archive before they’re shredded too.

I'd try not to use the word archive twice. i really like this premise, it feels that since MC is limited edition he feels he's entitled to lead the pack.

My only caveat is the challenge of the target audience. ? Kids aren't going to pick up on and appreciate the references to characters and plots in Shakespeare's plays. ?The trick is to do what Pixar does so well, tell a story that ?plays on two levels, entertaining kids while appealing to adults.

Good luck with the story.

Thanks Nir, 100% agree the wording doesn't really work, it's clumsy and too long. dpg hit the nail on the head with his version of the logline. Just wanted to road test the concept in itself.

Interesting premise but the wording didn't work for me. I did not make the leap of logic to understand that "...must lead his..." referred to either the book or character within.
As a fantasy comedy it can work but the descriptions need re thinking.

Thanks for your feedback dpg, your version of the logline is shorter and more efficient.?The idea was indeed to have each play reflect the characteristics of their titles.
