LA where beauty is king and it has its own look and feel. Think how different it would be if it was NYC.

Trillion dollar secret. So we know who is the big bad behind the clone.

Now the clone, someone who is you. Who knows you etc.

The only question I have is why would a trillion dollar industry have a cop clone?

Otherwise I can see a cross between Blade Runner and LA Confidential.

It may seem obvious to you, but the inciting incident (beeing framed) needs to be specified in the logline.

For example:
After being framed for murder, an LA-based detective must track down her clone to prove her own innocents.

It's okay to use the Hollywood setting in the script, but for the purpose of a logline it's a glittering distraction. ?It's not the hook, the "wow!" factor that will get people to read the script.

The hook, the "wow!" factor is the cloning, ?that in a dystopic future, people are being routinely cloned. And the detective is being framed for the murder committed by her clone. It's a hook that will work wherever the story is set whether in glamorous Hollywood, Ca or mundane Hollywood, Md. ?Focus on the hook.

And if you insist on setting it in Hollyweird, then ?leverage it for the plot. ?Write a story about a famous actress who is framed for a murder committed by her clone. ?And the female detective must solve the case. ?I suggest that this ?makes it more relevant to the Hollywood setting. And the notion that cloning has turned celebrities into a mass-produced commodity will have a stronger appeal to Hollywood movie makers than the cloning of lower life forms, like detectives. ?The script will be much more marketable.
