Me too! (duh..) :D
Don't worry, I'm almost there!

There are no many movies about blindness:

I don't think "Peeping Tom" is about blindness.
"Wait Until Dark "(++++) is an Hitchcockian style thriller. The story is a "huis-clos" close to "Panic Room", ...but without the room and where the hero is blind and alone!

And also :

"Scent of a woman" is the US remake of "Profumo di donna" by Dino Risi (1974 ++++)

@ dpg: indeed, "The Soloist" is biography/drama.

What about this logline?

"When a spoilt, young brat falls in love with a poor blind street musician, she must choose between enjoying a luxurious life by marrying her wealthy but cold fianc? and her tender lover who's poor on the outside, but rich on the inside."

Homeless street musician was done as recently as the 2009 American film, "The Soloist", but it wasn't a romance. Can't recall a blind street musician romance.

@Jean-Marie: Thanks a lot for your support! I think so too! Vampires, werewoves, drugdealers, FBI,... That's been done 1000 times and people still love it... :)

And as you can see, vampires, werewolves, psychotic cops and hitmen are not exhausted subjects...

Hi Adele93

Don't worry. there is less movies about blind street musicians than about vampires, werewolves, psychotic cops and hitmen...

Close to your topic, the most recent I remenber is "Les amants du Pont Neuf" (++++) by Leos Carax ("The lovers of the bridge" 1991) with Juliette Binoche

I seem to recall that there are two or three black and white movies prior to 1960. I don't remember which.

What do you mean with 'that's been done'? Is there already a film that involve a street musician? :)

It is, he has inner beauty, that's more important than money..

>>> "why would a spoiled young woman fall in love with a blind homeless man?"

Hi flixhollow,
Maybe the response is: because he has a "something extra".
e.g. "Titanic" or "Les amants du Pont Neuf" by Leos Carax (1991)
