yeh, for me, their nationalities are irrelevant. I'm also confused when the story takes place. After she met him? Why does she change her life? In what way? The same questions as NAH above. Great idea about Sean Connery tho. :)
In what way does she change her life? If that is the thrust of the movie, we need to know. From what to what?
Where she met him, his profession and the fact that he's retiring are superfluous in the logline. They're not what the film is "about", and they're not pieces of information that make me want to watch it more than if they were removed entirely. (Except that it makes me think the part is for Sean Connery and you hope to coax him out of retirement ... which you should definitely do).
So then, we know that a researcher (relevant information?) changes her life (?) after committing to reunite with a man she met 5 years earlier. What's the hook?
