Film is a visual medium, so think visually. What, specifically, do they find that leads them to discover the neighbourhood's dark history?
As Richiev has said, who is the lead character? Most teams in a movie have a leader or focus - Danny in Ocean's 11, Mikey in The Goonies, Gordy in Stand By Me.
