A college student struggles to save the life of a kidnapped stranger after she inadvertently calls him on his cellular phone.

As Richiev said. Why can't he just pass the information along to the police? ?Why is it up to him alone?

Just curious but usually kidnappers take away the phones of their victims. Why does the victim have their phone on them; and if they have their phone why don't they call the cops. (Why doesn't the student call the cops?)
