5 friends find a radioactive rock, which grants them superpowers but now must protect the rock and the world from a war-mongering weapons manufacturer led by a vindictive executive without being arrested for counts of terrorism.
Rock of Ages
Where screenwriters learn the form and logline their screen ideas.
Rock of Ages
Obstructing Government Operations.
I like your idea, but in the end, they end up keeping their powers.
This is the summary:
5 friends go into the woods, looking for material for their science fair projects, and find the rock. The gang get powers, but the government is looking for the rock because they're creating a weapon to end the war or terror. Then there's a man, trying to find out where his MIA army brother is. The boys are being called terrorists because the world isn't used to kids as superheros, and because they are Obstructing Government Operations.
the others have all ready pointed out the logistical problems. I just wanna see that it seems like a lot is going on in this logline. You have they get superpowers, then they have to protect the rock, then they have to avoid arrest for terrorism. i would say condense it.
What if, at the end of the story they had to destroy the rock in order to keep it out of the bad guys hands, but in doing so they would lose their superpowers.
Maybe the space rock could be made of unobtanium :)
