Hi Knightrider1984
Hi Guys,
About the logline:
"now that life is searching for those who "attacked" their homeworld."
These Aliens are rather worried and hostile because they feel being "attacked", and they are searching for US. This is exactly what we would do in the same circumstances, isn't it? (2001 a Space Odissey)
I assume that if we want to make a movie about this, it?s because we discover that these aliens are searching for us, AND or THEN we understand who they are and why they are doing this; AND of course because they find us.
a team of scientists, led by a brilliant, but dying, astronomer?
This means that the current Hero is a member of this team (maybe a relative or the brilliant successor of the dying astronomer)
About the movie:
My favorite way would be a story in the vein of Cold War movies,
- where the antagonists are not villains
- with a lot of suspense and tension,
- where fear and ignorance of each other's goals are the engine of the plot
because this had not yet been done for Sci-Fi movies.
Something like The Sum of All Fears? meets Independence Day?
Am I right?
the title doesn't say enough about the story
Is the story about the search that the aliens doing? Is an alien the lead character?
I don't really know what to make of this one, Knightrider1984. Other than that once again you're out to inflict aliens on poor mother earth. :-)
Your premise seems to be that aliens interpret the probe as a hostile intrusion. Are they only 'searching' for the origin of the 'hostile' probe? If so, that's not a hostile act; ergo, what's the dramatic problem? And how are they searching? In person, or with a remote probe of their own?
And given that the astronomer is dead after 20 years, who is the protagonist? What is she going to do about the aliens and/or their probe? What what MUST she do it? What are the stakes in this situation?
