Does it matter that in the film the boy only thinks that Tasmania is about to be destroyed by rising sea levels. Tasmania is not actually about to be destroyed.

YAY!... The boy is about eight years old, as is the girl. B8C- The hero's flaw (eg fear of water), I assume, wouldn't go in the logline, but is something I cld add to the story.

Is this the general consensus... The rising sea levels about to sink Tasmania is acceptable as the boy's fear, used to increase the stakes, but is not his main motivation for wanting to get there.
