"?Jingle All The Way? with trainers," was my reaction to reading this.

I could immediately picture a marketable quirky physical action-comedy with a teen lead from this logline.

For me what was missing was a specific protagonist ? such as the father, who wants his money back ? and whether the teen overcomes his flaw, and becomes a better person (because this sounds like precisely that type of movie).

Replace "father" with "uncle" and "selfish juvenile" with "Will" and you've got yourself a pretty good episode of 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'.

Although, for a movie, you've kind of got a 'Ferris Bueller' meets 'Jingle All The Way' thing going here.

Will this be a type of quirky comedy based around the juvenile queuing for the trainers? It sounds like it is more of a short story as I'm not sure what else can come to it unless there were stories happening on his quest to the front of the queue.

It tells us the overall point of the piece which is good but it doesn't have any depth and feel it needs a little more so it doesn't just sound like a boy going to buy some trainers.
