A widowed farmer plows over his internationally famous strawberry farm to resurrect a monument to his late wife, then battles his neighbors, the Sheriff and the government to keep it.

I've been having trouble getting this one down, I will admit. "Up" is a nice comparison, and it is basically about a man coping with the sudden death of his lifelong companion. There is a hint of "Field of Creams" aspect to it, as well. The town gets a large amount of it's resources through the strawberry farm- they have an annual festival, they are called the "strawberry capital" and even the President has mentioned loving his strawberries, which made him famous. They way I have it now, it is a drama, so I'll have to work on making that more clear in my wording. Thanks!

This sounds intriguing! But at the same time, it confuses me... Is it a comedy? A drama?

If the story is about the farmer trying to keep the monument, what are the stakes??

Is this a story of a man who needs to overcome the loss of his wife? I sense that it could work... He needs to go back to what he is good at: growing strawberries. So perhaps there is a physical goal around this, but he an only achieve this after letting go. This could be a journey similar to Pixar's UP...
