You might have a good story going, I don't know, cause even with the explanation in your comment, I still find it a bit confusing. I don't wanna repeat the other comments, but I do suggest that shorten it down a bit, to about half (It's now 57 words). I think the length of it adds to the confusion, try to keep it simple. Hope if you would forgive me for being such late , I am a new screenwriter based in Egypt and "Yuri" is my first and only screenplay , I am totally aware that the first screenplay is always horrible and full of mistakes and I'll discover all that maybe after the third or the fourth screenplay of my own ,

You wanted to know Yuri's obstacle which refers to the bad event in case if Yuri fails during his mission , hope if that what you wanted to know .lol
He simply has to force the American government and surly the CIA to set free general Maxim who was working as the commander of Russia's war academy and was a part of Yuri's master plan in its very early stages in Russia , general Maxim shortly after the graduation day of Russian academy was kidnapped by a CIA agent called George Maxwell then transported right from his office to The U.S in one sudden and very organized act by the CIA as an official respond to an earlier Russian act against the president of the United States of America , Yuri is the well-knowen Mastermind of the Russian act and it was the only choice by the CIA to kidnap Yuri's most important military figure as a message to the KGB that the whole thing from its beginning should be considered as a Russian Mistake and Yuri must be punished .
I almost have finished the synopsis of Yuri , it would be the most helpful presentation of Yuri .

I got the impression that Yuri, the cadet, attacked POTUS and didn't give the "bad" secret service members any chance to do their job, protecting him.

I may have misunderstood, though. It's very difficult to make heads or tails of this.

And... Peaceful attack, is a bit of an oxymoron.
