The only one I haven't seen is the last hahaha, I'll add it to my list!

I get it, check out this family flix list; will help gauge how sharp a stick you want to poke at Santa 😉
1. Robots (2005) - Dream job hopes are dashed.
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) - Xmas = $, Santa is referred to as “Fat boy”.
3. Klaus (2019) – Santa can fix anything but himself.
4. Arthur Christmas (2011) – Mashup of all mentioned.
Last but not least, my fav Christmas movie – I Spit on Your Grave (1978) lol.
Take care.

CC2 is on my Christmas watch list! I love Kurt Russell as Santa, so I'm looking forward to seeing him at it again. CC1 wasn't bad either. Bit conventional kids saving Christmas but it's Christmas... so I don't know what I expected really hahaha

Santa would be saved in the end, and I was worried about making Santa the bad guy but I always saw saving Santa as a by-product of the rebellion. I just liked the idea of Santa being the antagonist for a change and competing with the commercialism of Christmas.

I can’t do it, Mike. I can’t throw Santa under the bus this close to Christmas!
How about:
“An overworked elf -?- lead a rebellion -?- remind Santa of the true meaning of Christmas”
You need a baddie, e.g. some power-hungry elf that wants the big guy’s spot. Give him a relevant name e.g. “self-elf” for fun and someone that our overworked elf must conquer to bring Sanat to his senses and right Christmas Town.
BTW: I like the idea of your ANT elf considering your PROTAG elf a “zealot”, but in the end, he rediscovers elf brotherhood and gets a name change to boot.
Hopes this gets you closer, take care brother.

BTW: Watched "The Christmas Chronicles 2" last night - my review may be a little biased, but a good example of "give me the same - but different".
