Dear Pandedyer, there is no confusion about "Is the alien sldier an enemy to earth..." it is wery clear "...to PROTECT humanity...", and if he do not do this "...lose the human woman he loves, forever."

I would have to watch this movie because of the intriguing element of the alien soldier falling in love with the human. Is the alien soldier an enemy to earth or trying to prevent earth from destroying itself? It is a bit confusing. Earth is destroying itself but he is an alien soldier.
