      If we knew what the treasure was would it explain why that thing can bring them back to the real world? I really like the premise but I?d like to understand the connection.

      Could the shy guy have to man up? in order to rescue the fair damsel in distress character in the film?

      (And at the end of the adventure in reel life, when the two must part, he has the right stuff in real life to man up and the girl he as crush on for a date.? To wit, the completion and validation of his character arc.)
