I would suggest: "When three estranged siblings learn their late father has left his substantial estate to his secret illegitimate daughter, they must...?? Maybe, work together to get their just deserts; which might be different than they had imagined.

I would suggest the 'game of wits' and the 'dark demise' need to be spelled out.
