on Mark and his team of bar trivia superstars are favored to win the regional invitationals, but when a team of geniuses enters the tournament, Mark must convince his ex-girlfriend to rejoin the team in order to take the big prize.

This sounds like it could be really funny. Sort of a Vince Vaughn "Dodgeball" type story. Its a little too specific in the writing (the name and the "regional invitationals"), but I like the concept.

The term "join forces" is a little confusing to me. A family should "come together" because you don't have two opposing forces that must join in the first part of that sentence...
