A seemingly ideal Bible Belt family man, is shaken to the core by a secret romance with a handsome young country and western singer that brings him his first real happiness, and the potential to destroy his life and the lives of everyone around him.
Thank you very much for the suggestion. The only important part that's left out here (and probably not clear enough in my original) is that the country singer is a man.

As a young man, Ted Geisel meets his future wife Helen, who encourages his fanciful drawings, and in the 1950s when Ted is struggling professionally, Helen helps inspire the children?s book that will become his first big hit, ?The Cat in the Hat.
Who doesn't love Dr. Seuss??? Great idea! Your logline is a bit long, though. Suggestion: 'Ted Geisel meets his future wife Helen, who encourages his fanciful drawings. When he reaches his breaking point professionally, she helps inspire his first big…

When alien crafts land around the world, a linguistics expert is recruited by the military to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat. As she learns to communicate with the aliens, she begins experiencing vivid flashbacks that become the key to unlocking the greater mystery about the true purpose of their visit.
I really like this premise! The logline could use a bit of cleaning/shortening, perhaps: As she learns to communicate with the aliens, she experiences flashbacks that help her to unlock their actual intensions.

When Alice finally realizes her students are all idiots and her co-workers are losers, she decidest to get together with Amanda and Megan for some after school drinks.
Is this for a short film? You have perhaps 3 minutes of material here, 5 if you stretch it. Not very gripping or interesting as subject matter, even for a short.

A forgotten pop music icon stuck in the past, stages his own death to generate a spike in record sales and takes on an alias as an underground rapper to avoid an aggressive fraud detective.
Interesting movie concept with the potential for some great music. "forgotten" and "stuck in the past" seems redundant. Also, "to generate record sales" would seem sufficient.

When an unremarkable adman comes home to find his neglected wife half dead from the drink, he realises that in the grand scheme of things Advertising just isn't that important, and isn't frightened to say what he thinks anymore. His new found confidence sweeps everyone up with him, taking him to the very top, until his wife brings him back down.
Does his being an 'adman' have any significance? Is this a comedy - is there any way you can give us a bit more of a clue what kind of film this is?
