I can definitely see the ending being set to Billy Joel's 'Vienna.' Very fitting.

It might be beneficial to set the story after the events of the main character taking over the world, with him reflecting on his actions and trying to justify them to the audience.
on When confronted with violence in his new home, the son of a buddhist monk must defend himself while still staying true to his beliefs

Maybe do some research into the technicalities of Buddhism as a way to defeat the bully, maybe as a subversion of the traditional pacifist Buddhist, he defeats the bully with cunning instead of moralising.
