well, it depends on what the after life looks like. Regardless, I don't think anyone really wants to die when they're young and feel like there are more things they want to accomplish in the real world. And in context…

Thank you! :) The idea is that she would have to 'play the part' (while trying to no actually kill anyone) as a way to, as safely as possible, get herself out of the situation
