In a rural town, when a young, na?ve wife of an older, powerful cult leader becomes a secret prostitute, she discovers the town’s and cult’s dirty dark secrets that empower her to create a sex empire.
you are right.? That is silly.? It should be substituted with "to fund her way out..."? But is this better...In a rural town, when a young, na?ve wife of an older, powerful cult leader becomes a secret prostitute, she discovers…

When their conversion to goodness is discovered by Lucifer, a young devil and his converted, ‘goody two shoes’ family flee Hell for the suburban life of Canberra where the boy finds that being a horned, red-skinned devil and ‘fitting in’ to Earthly life is not as easy as he thought.
Thanks Tony. Yes, you're right but I was thinking of The Munsters and The Beverly Hillbillies, though with a refugee twist (the three series mentioned are just fish-out-of-water comedies, ie with no social undertones attached to them).

Reluctantly sent to live with his uncle, a troubled boy befriends the uncle’s recently adopted, timid and frightened dog and together face their fears and find the courage to rescue his older brother from a methamphetamine drug ring.
Thanks Nir. How about this: Rescuing a damaged dog from a dog fighting ring, a friendless boy nurses the dog to health and uses it to find his missing brother.

How about this instead: Sent to live with his uncle, a boy troubled with trusting authority befriends his uncle?s beautiful, though damaged, dog and together find courage to rescue his older brother from a drug ring.

Thanks Ashley. You're on the money about this being a comedy and about people fleeing their cultures. My story is in fact an allegory for refugees arriving in Australia. The logline I posted is clunky, especially in setting up the…

A dogged photo-journalist who is one of seven witnesses to the death of a young woman gradually exposes the thin veneers of the six other people interwoven in the dead woman?s life and the powerful man that killed her.
You say it lacks causal connection b/w I.I and MC action, but if fact there is one: the journo witnesses the death and the action is exposing the man that killed her.

No. Nice try, but this isn't my story at all. There's no irony in your description of the priest and there's certainly no child or exorcisms in my story.

When an escaped and injured circus wolf is found in the bush, a selfish boy denied owning a dog nurses the wolf in his wardrobe hiding it from his mother’s prying eyes, a determined dog catcher and the cruel circus owner who wants to give the wolf to an animal testing laboratory.
Either works. Well done. Love it!
